How To Make Miniature Chips Printable

Recently, I made a lot of miniature goods as my daughter's birthday party favours. My daughter just turned 11, and this is the perfect age to play with miniature. They are big enough to play with delicate toys without breaking them. One of the miniatures that I made was chips like Lays, Ruffles, and Doritos. I accidentally found a website where you can download complete images front and back.  The website is www.londondrugs.com . London Drugs is a local pharmacy based here in British Columbia, Canada. It's a pharmacy but they sell food, cosmetics, small kitchen appliances, and electronics. I don't know why, but their online shopping site uses images of flattened chip bags like this below. All you need is to right-click on the image to copy, and then paste it to Canva, Microsoft Word, or Google Doc. (Something you can re-size an image and print.) Once it's pasted, re-size the image however you like, and then print. Who knew a pharmacy's website could be a treasure bo...

Miniature Music Record Printable (Valentine's Day Special)

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? I am not really into it, but I LOVE the decorations and designs: red, pink, lots of hearts, roses, etc. Today, I put these cute designs into two music record covers for my Barbie dolls.  For the first one with a red shiny heart, AI created the illustration for me. I requested something Japanese 80's anime style. And then, I designed the back cover. By the way, these records are released by Micro Beat Music, an imaginary record label in our miniature world. (I also created a logo for this company.) I like adding some unnecessary details to my printable. I hope you enjoy the details I sneak into my printables. If you have a black thick paper or plastic sheet, cut a circle using a template included in the printable to make a record that goes inside the cover. There is a circle label for each record. New Doll Times Magazine February 2025: papodeclarissa

This is the first New Doll Times Magazine in 2025, and I am thrilled to announce that the guest for this month is an amazing artist, journalist, and photographer Jo from @papodeclarissa . How many of you enjoy the conversations between Jo (as an admin) and her dolls? Jo also has a second account @thetinycellar  focused on a bar called The Tiny Cellar. Jo has created a miniature world with great visual and narrative details. Once you start reading her post, you will get lost in her tiny world. Are you surprised to see dolls in swimsuits and enjoying the sun in February magazine? That's because it's summer in Brazil where Jo lives, so Jo decided to go with a "pool day" theme. What a nice warm greeting from Brazil! Interview with Jo I decided to do something different for my blog, Lily Bear Creates, this year: interview the artists and learn more about them and their dolls, dioramas, and doll photography. So here we go. I asked Jo 10 questions.  When and how did you star...

Quick & Realistic Doll Photography Hack

Happy New Year, friends. I wish you a year filled with dolls and miniature crafts! What is your New Year's resolution for 2025? Mine is to write more posts for my blog and find more ways to reuse things like plastic packages for miniature crafts. I am sharing how I quickly took photos to attend my friend's New Year's Eve party. This hack comes in handy when you don't have time to set up a diorama but want to participate in a hashtag challenge. I developed this hack when I realized I am not so good at building a large diorama 😅 There have been many times I spent time and energy to set up a diorama scene for a hashtag event and ended up not posting any photos because of poor quality. I am not saying this to pity myself but to share how my realization of what I am not good at led to discovering a new way to take a doll photo. Quick Hack: Party Dress My friend @breizhdolls invited us to a New Year's Eve party #breizhdollsnyeparty2024 . (the party is still going until ...

Cute Children's Book "I Love You" Miniature Printable

My daughter and I have been working on making a miniature children's book printable for a while. We wanted to make a book you could read which means we needed to design and write something meaningful. So it took a while, but finally, we finished! Well...to tell you the truth, we did not draw these cute animals. I found them in Canva and placed them like a children's book. And then my daughter and I brainstormed words to go with the illustrations. This is how the book I Love You was created. Me: Can you write a story to match these pictures? My daughter: I don't know what to write! How about..."You are paw some" for this one? (pointing the page with a dog and puppies.) Me: Awesome! My daughter: I know another one! "Some bunny loves you" but you don't have a bunny one. Me: Let me check if Canva has a cute bunny picture. The book's author does not exist because we made up the name. Someday, we will find a doll for this person like I did for Amelia...

Miniature Comic Book: Space Cat 1 - 4

I have created a handful of residents in my dolltown over the years. They each have a name, job, and unique personality. Amelia Kito is one of the residents who works as a graphic novel writer. She is a Japanese Canadian and that's where her last name "Kito" came from. (Perhaps her dad is from Japan.) Amelia published her first book  Cats Rule the Street in February 2024.  Today, I am posting her second book series that I created called Space Cat. In this printable, you have one book that has inside pages (Book 1) and three books without inside pages (Book 2-4). It would be cute if we took pictures of a doll reading a book and a stack of books on the side.  Here are some images from the comic book series. It was inspired by a popular graphic novel, Space Boy that my daughter was reading when I created it. As you can see, I put many unnecessary details in my printable. I say "unnecessary" because you can't even read these details on a 1:6 scale. Here are som...
